Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 per year

Job Description:
A seasoned Senior Quality Engineer is sought to drive new product development, lean implementation, process capability improvement, and quality system management. Key responsibilities include interfacing with customer Quality representatives, driving manufacturing process capability improvements, collecting and analyzing quality data, and providing leadership on problem-solving teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aerospace quality and manufacturing, experience with blueprint reading and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), knowledge of FAA Repair Station regulations, and proficiency in Six Sigma tools and methodology. Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with customer Quality teams on all Quality-related issues.
  • Promote manufacturing process capability enhancements through variation reduction and statistical process control.
  • Analyze quality data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead problem-solving teams to drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action plans.
  • Represent the Quality department on New Product Introduction teams.
  • Evaluate and approve First Article Inspection reports per AS9102.
  • Review Purchase Orders for existing programs.
  • Manage major program manufacturing process qualification.
  • Support Supplier Quality Engineering for supplier quality development.
Requirements:
  • At least 8 years of progressive experience in aerospace quality and manufacturing.
  • Experience with blueprint reading and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Knowledge of FAA Repair Station regulations and requirements.
  • Understanding of government contract requirements.
  • Familiarity with major aerospace prime customer requirements.
  • Proficiency in Six Sigma tools and methodology; green belt or black belt experience preferred.
  • Lean manufacturing practices expertise.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, ASQ certification, or extensive verifiable experience.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with flight critical components/systems.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of problem-solving tools (5-Whys, FMEA, 8-D).
  • Aerospace Quality Management Systems knowledge (ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9110).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project).
