OVERVIEW:

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:


As the Climbing Retail Supervisor, you will leverage your enthusiasm and knowledge in climbing to enhance our retail climbing department, assisting customers and activating our in-store climbing wall experience.

You will spearhead engagement, training, and educational initiatives for both customers and team members in all facets of climbing.

In this role, you will oversee climbing activities and provide support to climbers.

Your responsibilities will include directing workflow and managing daily operations of the climbing department under the guidance of the Assistant Store Manager.

Additional duties encompass driving performance, ensuring adherence to company standards, and assisting in various operational tasks as necessary.

Deliver the highest level of customer service within the department while embodying behaviors that align with the company's service and sales standards.

Highlight the significance of expert opinions. Ensure the customer experience is enriched by knowledgeable product experts who offer consultative advice while demonstrating exceptional product understanding.

Instruct climbing techniques for explorers of all ages and skill levels.

Conduct instructional lessons as required or requested.

Supervise climbing sessions.


Maintain company standards for merchandise presentation, showcasing premier apparel and equipment brands in sporting goods by adhering to established floor sets, signage requirements, price adjustments, replenishment, and recovery processes.


Assist the store management team with general oversight in accordance with company policies and procedures, including store opening and closing, as well as performing Front End and Cash Office functions.

Support the manager with department scheduling, directing workflow, daily guide assignments, and monitoring project progress.

Communicate relevant information to department guides regarding company initiatives, programs, promotions, etc.


Identify and rectify any safety concerns related to the climbing wall and equipment by upholding company loss prevention standards and controls.


Assist in the creation, maintenance, and compliance of safety-related standard operating procedures for the facility, service areas, climbing wall, and where applicable, the field.

Ensure the safety and security of team members, customers, and property in accordance with local regulations.

Ensure all certifications are completed and current.

Assist in training associates on company procedures and programs; this includes onboarding new associates and cross-training existing team members.

Mentor new hires by sharing experiences, knowledge, and best practices. Provide timely feedback on projects, tasks, and deliverables.

Organize team-building events at the climbing wall with guides.

Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
