  • Advanced Shaders and Materials: Create complex shaders and materials that meet the highest standards of quality and realism.
  • Dynamic Lighting Pipeline: Iterate and improve our dynamic lighting pipeline to achieve seamless and realistic lighting effects.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize performance on all projects to ensure smooth and efficient rendering.
  • Asset Creation: Pioneer new asset creation techniques for environment assets, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in UE4.
  • Pipeline and Technology Improvements: Propose and implement pipeline and technology improvements to Art and Core Pipeline, ensuring we stay at the forefront of industry standards.
  • Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with and support the environment team, ensuring seamless communication and a cohesive artistic vision.

Requirements
  • UE4 Expertise: Expert knowledge in UE4 rendering and optimizations, with a deep understanding of its capabilities and limitations.
  • Technical Proficiency: Technical proficiency in 3D workflow areas like modeling, texturing, lighting & rendering, with a strong foundation in industry-standard tools.
  • Plugin and Tool Customization: Experience writing plugins/customizing 3D tools like Maya/3DS Max, with a focus on efficiency and productivity.
  • Content Creation Pipelines: Advanced knowledge of cutting-edge content creation pipelines, with a focus on automation and scalability.
  • VR Experience: Experience with Oculus Rift/Quest and other VR Platforms, with a strong understanding of their capabilities and limitations.
  • Procedural Content Creation: Experience in Substance Designer/Painter, Houdini, and procedural content creation, with a focus on efficiency and quality.
  • Programming and Photography: A basic understanding of Python and photography, with a focus on applying these skills to technical art.
Experience Plus
  • AEC or Enterprise Experience: Past experience working in CG for AEC or Enterprise related industries, with a focus on applying technical art skills to real-world problems.
  • GIS and BIM Data: Experience working with GIS data and/or BIM data, with a focus on integrating these tools into our pipeline.
  • Houdini Expertise: Expert Houdini experience, with a focus on applying its capabilities to technical art.
