Job Summary

CarMax is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Reconditioning Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our inventory team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our vehicles meet the highest standards of quality and appearance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct cosmetic inspections and final quality inspections on vehicles to ensure they meet CarMax standards
  • Perform various cosmetic reconditioning, cleaning, and repair processes, including paint touch-up, wet sanding, and buffing
  • Identify defects and recommend the most appropriate repair methods
  • Provide outstanding customer service and ensure a positive experience for our customers
  • Work collaboratively with the inventory team to ensure efficient and effective vehicle preparation and delivery
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in automotive reconditioning or a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity standards
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a variety of environments
