Job Summary

CarMax is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Reconditioning Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our inventory team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our vehicles meet the highest standards of quality and appearance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough cosmetic inspections to identify any defects or damage
  • Perform various reconditioning tasks, including paint touch-up, wet sanding, and buffing
  • Ensure that all vehicles are cleaned and prepared for sale, including interior and exterior detailing
  • Work closely with the inventory team to ensure that all vehicles are properly maintained and presented
  • Participate in training and development programs to stay up-to-date on the latest techniques and technologies
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of experience in automotive reconditioning or a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
