We are currently seeking experienced extrusion technicians to fill critical roles within our organization. Our mission is to simplify the job search process for candidates and ensure a perfect match with potential employers.

The Extrusion Technician plays a vital role in the setup, operation, and upkeep of extrusion machinery to manufacture top-quality plastic profiles. This position involves ensuring that the extrusion process is efficient, monitoring production metrics, conducting quality assessments, and resolving any operational challenges that may occur during production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and configure plastic extrusion machines based on production specifications, including selecting the right dies, molds, and equipment.
  • Operate extrusion machinery, managing startup and shutdown procedures, adjusting settings, and overseeing the production process for optimal efficiency and accuracy.
  • Regulate and monitor extrusion process parameters, such as temperature, pressure, speed, and material flow, to meet product specifications.
  • Perform regular quality inspections on extruded profiles, checking for defects, measuring dimensions, and conducting tests to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Adjust the extrusion process as needed to maintain product quality and troubleshoot issues, including material inconsistencies and equipment malfunctions.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on machinery, including cleaning, lubrication, and replacement of worn components, to ensure peak performance and prevent breakdowns.
  • Keep detailed production records, documenting quantities produced, material usage, equipment settings, and any quality or machinery issues.
  • Adhere to safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment, including proper material handling, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and reporting safety hazards.
  • Collaborate with team members, including supervisors and quality control staff, to enhance production processes, address challenges, and implement improvements.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience as a plastic profile extrusion operator or in a similar capacity, with a solid understanding of the extrusion process and machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and product requirements.
  • Strong mechanical skills and troubleshooting abilities to identify and resolve equipment issues.
  • Familiarity with safety practices in a manufacturing setting.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet production goals.
  • Physical endurance to stand for long periods, lift heavy materials, and perform repetitive tasks.

Compensation: $20/hr - $28/hr

Shift Availability: 2nd and 3rd shifts - 8hr/12hr shifts
