This position is responsible for the development, organization, management, and evaluation of all aspects of Cedars-Sinai Medical Network's Risk Management Program.
This role involves identifying, evaluating, and managing the risk of financial loss to Cedars-Sinai Medical Care Foundation Affiliated Groups, as well as providing consultative services to Cedars-Sinai Health Associates in the areas of general and professional liabilities.
The successful candidate will assist in identifying and resolving potential risks related to systems, processes, and clinical issues.
RequirementsA Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing or a related clinical field, prior clinical healthcare experience, and seven years of management and managed care experience are required.
Current CA RN Licensure, a Juris Doctor degree, or an advanced degree in a healthcare-related field are strongly preferred.
Seven years of management and managed care experience, preferably in a medical group/IPA or health plan setting, are also required.
Prior professional liability insurance risk management experience is preferred.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Continuous Quality Improvement, Credentialing, Peer Review, and Risk Management processes.
They will also have a working knowledge of compliance with California health regulatory boards and processes.
