Position Overview:

Role: Public Area Attendant

As a Public Area Attendant, you will be responsible for upholding the cleanliness and organization of communal spaces, ensuring adherence to established guest service and environmental sustainability standards.

With experience, you can progress to roles such as Room Inspector, Housekeeping Supervisor, or Executive Housekeeper.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly clean all hard and textile surfaces, including restrooms in public areas, while addressing guest room requests promptly.
  • Maintain internal windows and doorways, ensuring they are free from fingerprints and smudges.
  • Organize and clean furniture and hard surfaces in public spaces.
  • Keep floors clear of debris and clean any carpet stains as necessary.
  • Ensure elevators are spotless and free from litter.
  • Regularly empty waste receptacles located in public areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness in employee break rooms and restrooms.
  • Utilize cleaning chemicals according to guidelines and familiarize yourself with Material Safety Data Sheets.
  • Adhere to safety procedures regarding bloodborne pathogens.
  • Follow sustainability practices aligned with the company's environmental initiatives.
  • Exhibit safe work habits, wear protective equipment, and comply with MSDS and OSHA standards.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.

Work Environment:

  • Work hours may vary, including weekends and holidays.
  • This position requires prolonged standing, walking, pushing, and lifting up to 25 pounds, as well as bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
