Arvato Bertelsmann is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead the proactive and preventative facility maintenance across our facility. In this role, you will be able to leverage your knowledge and experience in facilities management to work cross-functionally and maximize equipment and facility resources while meeting safety and budget requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the conveyor system is safe, efficient, and operational 100% of warehouse hours (24/7 operation).
- Understand all systems and components, both mechanical and electrical, as well as hardware components and software applications.
- Perform all preventative maintenance tasks according to schedule, including cleaning and housekeeping of all conveyor system parts and areas.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair conveyor systems, resolving issues efficiently to minimize downtime for operations.
- Ensure tool and spare parts inventory is kept at 100%.
- Flexibility with start and end time to accommodate needed maintenance and troubleshooting.
- On-call for all emergencies by phone and onsite if required.
- Plan and coordinate all installations according to project plans for capital investments.
- Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet production needs and health and safety standards.
- Inspect buildings structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations.
- Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs.
- Review contracts and service agreements as requested by management.
- Supervise all staff facilities staff, including temporary workers, contracted custodians, and technicians, as well as external contractors.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in a Facilities Manager role or similar experience.
- Must possess a BS degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Previous experience supervising others.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment.
- Ability to work long hours, including overtime if needed.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
