Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Director of BSA/AML to join our team at Suffolk Credit Union. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily management and development of AML and regulatory policies, ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory requirements. You will develop and maintain BSA/AML and CRB compliance programs, manage fraud across all products and channels, liaise with law enforcement, and implement policies and procedures to mitigate BSA/AML/OFAC compliance risks.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain BSA/AML and CRB compliance programs
- Manage fraud across all products and channels
- Liaise with law enforcement on criminal cases such as fraud, forgery, and robbery
- Identify BSA/AML/OFAC compliance risks and ensure the development of procedures, processes, and training to mitigate them
- Implement and enhance BSA and OFAC policies, procedures, and legal reporting requirements
- Manage BSA/AML/OFAC monitoring systems to identify suspicious or fraudulent activities
- Ensure timely and accurate regulatory reporting (e.g., CTRs, SARs, FinCEN 314(a))

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
- Eight (8)+ years of previous BSA and AML experience at a retail financial institution and ACAMS certification
- In-depth knowledge of federal and state regulations impacting credit unions, including the Bank Secrecy Act, SAFE Act, USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC regulations, and NYS Cannabis Banking regulations
- Proficient in risk analysis techniques, regulatory environments, and fraud prevention trends within the financial industry
