Position Overview:
ClearChoiceMD is in search of a reliable Full-Time Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) to join our cutting-edge urgent care facility. We are looking for a personable individual with outstanding communication abilities who thrives in a dynamic environment.

Work Schedule:
Our centers operate seven days a week from 8 AM to 8 PM. The working hours for this role consist of 12-hour shifts from 8 AM to 8 PM, including rotating weekend duties.

Key Responsibilities:
The EMT or AEMT will be an integral part of the clinical team, responsible for:
  • Clinical Duties:
    Prepare examination rooms with necessary tools and equipment.
    Gather patient histories and vital signs.
    Prepare patients for examinations and treatments.
    Apply splints and dressings, and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments, ensuring proper sterilization.
    Assist healthcare providers during minor surgical procedures and physical examinations.
    Conduct phlebotomy and manage laboratory documentation.
    Perform Point of Care testing, including Rapid Strep, Mono, Influenza, Urinalysis, and more.
    Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
    Educate patients on discharge instructions when applicable.
    Address patient concerns within the scope of the role.
    Maintain confidentiality of all patient information.
  • Administrative Duties:
    Ensure accurate and timely documentation for staff and insurance purposes.
    Maintain patient records for clinical, billing, and review needs.
    Assist in scheduling tests and treatments.
    Manage phone inquiries and referrals to physicians.
    Keep clinical and office supplies organized and well-stocked.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Applicants should possess:
  • 1+ years of experience as an EMT-A or higher with a valid license.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Experience in an emergency room or urgent care setting is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Work Environment:
This position operates in a medical office setting, with potential exposure to communicable diseases and other clinic-related conditions.

Physical Requirements:
The role demands a full range of motion, including manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Candidates should be able to stand and walk for extended periods and occasionally lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
