About the Role:

Maine Veterinary Medical Center is seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team in Scarborough, ME. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for assisting with patient care during pre-op, procedure, and post-op periods, as well as discharges and follow-up appointments.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with patient care during pre-op, procedure, and post-op periods
  • Monitor anesthesia for patients undergoing surgical procedures
  • Maintain a sterile environment and assist with surgical instrument maintenance
  • Perform routine and advanced treatments and procedures
  • Provide comfort and care to patients
  • Keep patient families updated on medical and financial status

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience in a veterinary hospital
  • Current Maine Veterinary Technician License or ability to obtain one
  • Excellent communication and clinical skills
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
