Job Summary

The University of Kentucky College of Medicine seeks a highly accomplished director to lead the Center for Health, Engagement, and Transformation (CHET). As a visionary leader, you will be responsible for advancing equity in cancer, cardiovascular disease, dementia, and other related neurological diseases, diabetes, and obesity, as well as substance use and other health conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic oversight for the research and training portfolio of CHET, promoting the growth of health equity research through scholarly dissemination and extramural funding.
  • Support an inclusive environment for faculty, staff, and trainees, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and respect.
  • Develop and implement a detailed plan to achieve the center's vision, ensuring effective utilization of resources and space.
  • Maintain and expand University-wide and external partnerships to advance CHET's mission and initiatives.
  • Recruit and retain top talent, promoting a culture of excellence and integrity.
Requirements

The successful candidate will possess a strong track record of research achievement, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for promoting health equity. A PhD, MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent in a related field is required, along with eligibility for appointment at an associate or full professor rank.
