We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing Department Manager to join our team at Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our nursing department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective nursing practices and policies to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction
- Lead and manage a team of nursing staff, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure their success
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care
- Monitor and analyze departmental performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and hospital policies and procedures
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or higher
- Three years of experience in nursing, with at least one year in a leadership role
- Current RN licensure in Texas or Compact State
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- ANCC-recognized leadership certification (if applicable)
