Job Summary

Behavioral Health Solutions is seeking a licensed Psychiatrist to lead our Idaho practice.

We are a leading provider of behavioral health services, and we are committed to providing state-of-the-art psychiatric services. As a Regional Medical Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the psychiatric clinical programs in Washington and ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments to determine the appropriate treatment plan for each patient.
  • Provide medication management services by evaluating medication effectiveness and side effects, prescribing medication, and adjusting dosages as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient, including progress notes, treatment plans, and diagnosis codes.
  • Provide clinical oversight and review of medical documentation created by PMHNPs servicing the Idaho practice.
  • Collaborate with other mental health professionals, including therapists, psychologists, and social workers to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings to provide updates on patient progress and coordinate care.
  • Attend training and continuing education programs to stay current on best practices and new research in psychiatry.
Requirements
  • Completion of a residency training program in psychiatry and two years of post-residency experience as a psychiatrist in a psychiatric facility are required.
  • M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Licensure as a physician in the applicable state.
  • Licensed by the applicable State Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances.
  • Possession of a valid state driver's license may be required.
