Position Overview

The Senior Maintenance Electrician is responsible for executing routine and comprehensive preventative maintenance and repair tasks on various facilities, electrical systems, and utility infrastructures. This role entails the installation and repair of electrical systems within the organization, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all relevant standards, policies, and procedures, emphasizing safety and cleanliness in the work environment.
  • May serve as a Foreman during shifts as required.
  • Conduct inspections and maintenance on electrical systems to guarantee safety and operational efficiency.
  • Engage with users to diagnose electrical system issues and confirm resolutions.
  • Adjust system controls according to manufacturer specifications, utilizing hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, providing emergency assistance as necessary.
  • Implement preventive maintenance practices, including cleaning and servicing equipment.
  • Acquire necessary permits, tools, and materials for various projects.
  • Layout and connect electrical wiring according to established diagrams.
  • Document and report all faults and unusual occurrences in the maintenance management system.
  • Install auxiliary components for heating and cooling systems following blueprints.
  • Manage the installation and repair of electrical wiring and equipment.
  • May operate computer systems that monitor mechanical and electrical utilities.
  • Repair electrical equipment and control circuits, replacing faulty components as needed.
  • Respond promptly to emergency calls, assessing safety and providing guidance to affected individuals.
  • Assist in estimating and ordering necessary supplies and repair parts.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams on various projects.
  • Install and adjust thermostats and timers using hand tools.
  • Generate work orders for identified deficiencies.
  • Assemble and position heating or cooling equipment as per specifications.
  • Study blueprints and manufacturer recommendations to ensure proper installation of electrical components.
  • Measure, cut, and bend piping using appropriate tools.
  • Fabricate and install ductwork and chassis components with metal-working tools.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required; must complete a GED program within six months if currently enrolled.
  • Must be at least twenty-one years of age.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license is required.
  • Completion of at least three maintenance certifications, including Journeyman or Master Electrician license.
  • Five years of general commercial property maintenance experience is essential.
  • Strong auditory and visual acuity.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
  • Valid and current State Driver's License with an insurable driving record.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Must obtain and maintain an Occupational License as required.
