Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our expanding Engineering - Remediation Practice. This role will involve collaboration with Project Managers and technical leads to provide expert design and construction oversight for environmental remediation initiatives. Our engineering team plays a crucial role in permitting, design, and construction for a variety of technically demanding projects, primarily serving industrial, utility, and public sector clients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team, showcasing exceptional project management, communication, analytical, and leadership skills. A flexible hybrid work schedule is available.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and cost estimates, while providing bid assistance.
  • Oversee complex environmental projects from investigation and feasibility studies to construction and post-construction reporting.
  • Utilize technical knowledge to ensure comprehensive project execution from start to finish, with support from project staff.
  • Demonstrate excellence in communication, data interpretation, and team collaboration.
  • Adapt engineering best practices across a variety of projects and client environments.
  • Engage in all project phases, including design development, construction management, and client interactions.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, clients, and public agencies.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Assist Project Managers with proposals, design fee estimates, budgets, and client relations.
  • Travel regionally and statewide as required, with travel commitments varying based on project needs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or a related engineering discipline from an accredited institution; advanced degrees are advantageous.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required; a license in Wisconsin is preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in the environmental consulting sector, particularly in remedial construction, feasibility studies, and permitting.
  • OSHA 40 hr. HAZWOPER certification is a plus.
  • Strong team player with excellent technical writing, communication, and computer skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Valid driver's license is required.

Compensation
