About the RoleThe Registered Nurse is a registered professional nurse who prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices.
You will be responsible for:
- Documenting patient information and nursing care in the provision of nursing services.
- Verifying the accuracy of patient records.
- Providing education to patients and families based on their identified needs and limitations.
- Utilizing appropriate interventions in psychiatric and medical emergencies.
- Acting as the patient's advocate and ensuring that patient rights are upheld.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing.
- Currently licensed to practice by the Massachusetts State Board of Nursing.
- A minimum of three (3) years' experience in a psychiatric health-care facility.
- Ability to pass a medication administration exam before administering medications.
- CPR certification and successful completion of Management of Aggressive Behavior including restraint and seclusion policies within 30 days of employment.
