Job Summary

MedStar Health is seeking a PRN Cardiovascular Technologist to support our Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory team.

This role involves assisting with invasive cardiovascular procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform patient care duties, including starting IVs, EKG monitoring, and preparing patients for procedures.
  • Assist with cardiovascular invasive procedures, such as heart catheterizations, PTCA, and electrophysiology studies.
  • Conduct quality control checks on X-ray equipment and process medical images.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment, set up the procedure area, and break down equipment after use.
  • Record and interpret hemodynamic data using Marquette monitors.
  • Participate in staff training and orientation, and assist with inventory and supply management.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience as a Cardiovascular Technologist.
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered Cardiovasc Technician (RCVT), or Practical Radiology Technician (PRT) certification.
  • Appropriate IV insertion and EKG training.
  • Additional cardiology exposure or related job experience preferred.

Competitive salary range of $59.26 per hour.
