Job Summary


We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Specialist to join our team at Siemens Energy. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing control panels for large power transformers, ensuring that our products meet customer requirements and industry standards.


Key Responsibilities



  • Design and develop control panels for large power transformers
  • Create wiring diagrams, cabinet layout drawings, and schematics for control panels and associated electrical systems
  • Order materials and components, including wires, terminal blocks, panels, switchgear, monitoring/protection/control instruments, etc.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs meet customer requirements and industry standards
  • Troubleshoot control panel issues and provide technical support to field service teams
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant safety and regulatory standards
  • Manage projects from conception to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met

Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 6+ years of experience in control panel and wiring design for medium or large power transformers
  • Knowledge of different electronics devices used in transformer control systems, including monitoring and controlling temperature, voltage regulation, annunciation, and communication protocols
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Eplan or similar control wiring design software
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and control panel design principles
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills
