Position Overview

The Field Service Specialist is tasked with the inspection, maintenance, and repair of motive power equipment. This role involves basic troubleshooting, performing repairs both in the field and at company facilities, and addressing customer requirements promptly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot battery and charger systems effectively.
  • Execute repairs at customer locations and company facilities.
  • Respond to client inquiries in a timely manner, demonstrating exceptional customer service.
  • Complete all work orders and customer-facing documentation in compliance with company standards.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Work independently or collaboratively in a professional manner.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Performance Metrics:

  • Evaluation based on safety, efficiency, work order completion, customer satisfaction, and issue resolution.
  • Maintain a high level of time management, achieving over 90% billable time to customers.
  • Management observations regarding attitude, diligence, teamwork, and eagerness to learn.
  • Additional key metrics set by leadership that contribute positively to customer and company outcomes.
Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required; an Associate Degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Understanding of basic AC and DC electrical/electronic principles.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
  • Capability to organize work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience working with diverse individuals and across remote teams.
  • Ability to articulate ideas clearly to both internal and external customers and actively listen to their needs.
  • Strong relationship-building skills focused on customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborative mindset to work with other departments for organizational success.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced work environment.
  • Experience in material handling is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime as needed.
