- Utilize critical thinking skills to identify and prioritize patient needs, making sound judgments to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, promoting a culture of respect and empathy.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities as assigned, supervising designated personnel and taking action as needed.
- Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, adhering to regulatory and organizational standards.
- Associate's degree in Nursing is required; BSN degree is preferred.
- Valid Florida RN license is required.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification with at least 6 months validity is required.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of related experience in pediatric hematology/oncology or a related field.
