At BDO, we're seeking an experienced Senior IT Assurance Manager to join our team. As a Technology Risk Expert, you'll be responsible for leading the preparation of third-party attestation reports, including SOC 1, SOC 2, SOC 3, and HITRUST, as well as other compliance and risk management services. Our team specializes in these areas, providing clients with a comprehensive understanding of their technology risk landscape.


Job Summary:


As a Senior IT Assurance Manager, you'll be responsible for managing audit engagements, including planning, fieldwork, and review. You'll work closely with clients to understand their control environment, identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations to strengthen their internal controls. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping clients navigate complex technology risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.


Responsibilities:


As a Technology Risk Expert, your key responsibilities will include:



  • Leading audit engagements, including planning, fieldwork, and review
  • Managing teams of professionals to deliver high-quality audit services
  • Developing and implementing audit plans, including identifying areas for improvement and recommending controls to strengthen internal controls
  • Providing expert advice to clients on technology risk management and compliance
  • Staying up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry developments to ensure our clients are compliant and prepared for emerging risks
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients and stakeholders to deliver exceptional client service
  • Coordinating with engagement teams to ensure smooth delivery of audit services

Requirements:


To be successful in this role, you'll need:



  • More than three years of experience in IT, internal or external audit
  • Experience performing internal control reviews, preferably with a focus on technology risk management
  • Knowledge of industry standards, including SOC, HITRUST, and ISO 27001
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with leading teams and managing audit engagements, preferably with a focus on technology risk management
  • Professional certifications, such as CISA or CISSP, are highly desirable
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Salary:


The estimated salary for this role is between $87,000 and $130,000, depending on location and experience. In California, the salary range is $87,000 to $130,000, while in NYC/Long Island/Westchester, the salary range is $90,000 to $115,000.


Location:


This role is based in the United States, with opportunities to work with clients across the country. Depending on the client's location, you may be required to travel occasionally.
