Nursing Supervisor Job Summary

Aspire Nursing and Rehab of Washington is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to fill the role of Nursing Supervisor. This position is responsible for overseeing the nursing activities and facility operations for one shift, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and facility administrator to direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing department and other areas of facility operations.
  • Develop, maintain, and update written policies and procedures that govern nursing services and facility operations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as nursing standards of practice.
  • Implement and maintain established facility objectives, consistent with licensure regulations and nursing standards.
  • Participate in the development of written assessments of the nursing needs of each resident.
  • Recommend equipment and supplies needed by the department and ensure adequate levels of medications, medical supplies, and equipment.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident information and evaluate staff competency during care delivery.
Requirements:
  • Must possess an RN degree from an accredited college or university or be a graduate of an approved RN diploma program.
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a staff nurse in a long-term care facility.
  • Training in geriatric nursing practices preferred.
  • Prior supervisory experience in a related setting is preferred.
  • Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in this state.
  • Ability to solve problems and make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
