  • Facility Maintenance: Performs minor semi-skilled interior building maintenance installations and repairs, ensuring the facility remains in excellent condition.
  • Electrical Maintenance: Assists with troubleshooting and fixing of faulty electrical devices, ensuring the facility's electrical systems are safe and functional.
  • Event Preparation: Prepares classrooms and conference rooms for special events and meetings, including setup and dismantling of materials.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Performs various cleaning and maintenance activities, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash, and cleaning bathrooms.
  • Supervision: Supervises contract maintenance or repair services, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Facility Maintenance: Performs minor semi-skilled interior building maintenance installations and repairs, including minor and routine painting, plaster, or drywall repairs.
  • Plumbing and Maintenance: Maintains the building by performing minor plumbing and other related maintenance activities.
  • Inspections: Inspects the physical condition of buildings to ensure no deterioration and makes recommendations regarding necessary equipment upgrades or replacements.
  • Electrical Maintenance: Repairs the common air-conditioning and heating and ventilation system and notifies the Campus President concerning the need for major electrical repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
  • Event Support: Prepares meeting rooms for special events and breaks down rooms at the conclusion of events.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Responsible for sweeping and mopping surfaces, vacuuming carpeted areas, emptying trash, and cleaning bathrooms, as requested.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in facility maintenance or a related field is preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to perform minor semi-skilled interior building maintenance installations and repairs, electrical maintenance, and cleaning and maintenance activities.
