General Merchandise Responsibilities
Our General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, inventory accuracy, presentation, pricing, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise areas of the store. This team also oversees Food & Beverage and Food Service, ensuring a fresh and food-safe experience for guests. Inbound Experts play a crucial role in enabling efficient guest delivery by owning pick, pack, and ship fulfillment work.

Key Responsibilities
As an Inbound Expert, your typical day will involve:

• Creating a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests
• Observe and quickly understand whether a guest needs assistance or wants to interact, following body language and verbal clues to tailor your approach
• Engaging with guests in a genuine way, including asking questions to better understand their specific needs
• Being knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store and specific to your area to solve issues for the guest and improve their experience
• Thanking the guest in a genuine way and letting them know we're happy they chose to shop at Target
• Executing a detailed, accurate, and efficient sorting operation, including all unload schedule times
• Stocking, backstocking, and zoning product on sales floors
• Maintaining sales floor instocks for GM categories
• Operating power equipment only if certified and partnering with leaders if certification is needed
• Working with accuracy and attention to detail
• Managing all defectives and handling environmentally sensitive items in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Demonstrating a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
• Working in a safe manner at all times to benefit yourself and others, identifying and correcting hazards, and complying with all safety policies and best practices
• Supporting guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up (OPU), and Drive up (DU) and maintaining a compliance culture while executing those duties, including compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws
• All other duties based on business needs

Requirements
We're looking for team members who:

• Are at least 18 years of age or older
• Have a welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members
• Can communicate effectively on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed
• Work both independently and as part of a team
• Can resolve guest questions quickly and accurately
• Have attention to detail and can follow multi-step processes
• Can remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
