Stepdown Unit Registered Nurse Opportunity

Cleveland Clinic's Avon Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Stepdown Unit team. As a member of our team, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to patients with major medical and surgical diagnoses.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients, implementing and monitoring patient care plans as needed.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patients' conditions to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs to ensure a smooth transition to home or further care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • At least two years of recent related nursing experience, or internal applicants with less than two years' experience may be considered with approval.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
  • Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
