Radiology Department Supervisor

UPMC is seeking a skilled Radiology Department Supervisor to oversee the efficient operations of our imaging department. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring efficient work flow, and maintaining timely communication with both staff and management.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiologic technology and at least 4 years of imaging experience. Previous supervisory experience is preferred, as well as effective analytical and interpersonal skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring staff are properly oriented, performing annual performance evaluations, and maintaining records and reports for each staff member. They will also engage in staff recognition and empowerment, while maintaining a focus on the patient experience.
Additionally, the Radiology Department Supervisor will assist in the development, revision, and implementation of department policies, procedures, and QA initiatives. They will communicate and enforce policies and procedures to staff, monitor employee compliance with safety standards, and ensure standards are enforced.
The selected candidate will also participate in the budgeting process and strive to maintain costs and meet the budget of supplies and clinical staffing operations. They will ensure that all quality control tests and procedures are conducted and documented, and that performance of all equipment is accurate within established parameters to meet regulatory requirements.
Requirements include a graduate degree from an ARRT, ARDMS, or NMTCB Accredited School, CPR or BLS certification, and Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting, Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73 FBI Clearance.
