Job Overview

The Warehouse Worker plays a crucial role in supporting the logistics operations by ensuring efficient handling of goods within the distribution center. Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and ship outbound packages while accurately receiving incoming inventory.
  • Utilize ERP systems to maintain operational efficiency and accuracy in transactions.
  • Contribute to team objectives by meeting performance targets and completing assigned tasks.
  • Ensure a safe and organized workspace by maintaining cleanliness in all areas.
  • Handle Hazmat documentation for relevant shipments and prepare Bills of Lading.
  • Conduct inventory control activities, including cycle counts and equipment operation.
  • Follow safety protocols as mandated by the organization and OSHA guidelines.

Working Conditions:

The warehouse environment may present challenges such as fluctuating temperatures and exposure to noise and dust. Employees will operate machinery, including forklifts and other large equipment.


Physical Requirements:

This role requires the ability to lift heavy items regularly (up to 50 lbs, with occasional lifting of up to 75 lbs). Candidates must be capable of standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, and climbing ladders.


Essential Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and good mathematical abilities.
  • Experience with power equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Commitment to maintaining a high sense of urgency and flexibility in scheduling.

Education:

A High School Diploma or GED is preferred for this position.


Work Schedule:

This position typically follows a Monday to Friday schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM.


Required Qualifications:

Experience with material handling equipment, OSHA compliance, and inventory management is essential.


Additional Skills:

Knowledge of hazardous materials handling, customer service principles, and shipping documentation processes is advantageous.
