Shift Schedule: Swing Shift

Compensation: $2,000 sign-on bonus + hourly shift differential

Overview

Responsible for conducting both preventive and urgent maintenance on production machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Execute all responsibilities outlined in the Maintenance Technician 1 job description.

2. Assess and prioritize equipment downtime issues to align with production requirements.

3. Interpret and analyze blueprints and wiring schematics.

4. Carry out intermediate electrical tasks, including minor troubleshooting and working with starters and sensors.

5. Diagnose and repair equipment utilizing timing and programmable logic controls (PLCs).

6. Maintain effective communication with various departments, customers, and engineering and production teams, participating in on-site meetings as necessary.

7. Support the installation of new machinery as needed.

8. Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned, which may include facilities-related tasks and special projects directed by the Facilities and Maintenance Manager.

Job Requirements

1. Successfully meet all criteria of the Maintenance Technician 1 job description.

2. Comprehensive understanding of OSHA safety regulations and standards.

3. High school diploma or equivalent is required; technical certification or degree is preferred.

4. Relevant experience as a multi-craft industrial technician.

5. Proven knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems maintenance.

6. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot effectively.

7. Capability to lift and manage heavy machinery.

8. Strong time-management abilities.

9. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Work Environment

1. Operate within a processed and refrigerated foods manufacturing facility.

2. Experience working in wet or dry conditions with temperatures ranging from 25°F to 115°F.

3. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.

4. Production demands may necessitate overtime and weekend work on short notice.
