Job Overview

Position Title: SERE Instructor

Location: Fort Novosel, AL

Employment Type: Full Time

Security Clearance Required: SECRET

Navigator Development Group, Inc. is in search of experienced professionals to fulfill the role of Instructors at the U.S. Army Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (SERE) school located in Fort Novosel, Alabama.


Key Responsibilities

Deliver expert instruction to SERE students, adhering to the established course management guidelines.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Exceptional communication and mentoring abilities
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities
  • In-depth knowledge of the skills imparted in SERE training

Minimum Requirements

  • Graduate of the full spectrum SERE-C program, including Wartime, Peacetime Governmental Detention (PGD), and Hostage Detention (HD) training.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Possess a SECRET security clearance
  • Certified to instruct in accordance with the USA SERE School Instructor Certification Program
  • Must successfully complete a physical examination and urinalysis screening. Instructors will encounter high levels of physical and mental stress during their duties.
  • Physical demands may include lifting up to 75 pounds, carrying 50 pounds over a distance, and navigating uneven terrain.
  • Must pass a SERE Human Factors Psychological Test
  • Maintain a professional and credible demeanor at all times.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in the various skills taught within the SERE curriculum.
  • Experience in teaching and managing within a DoD SERE-related program.
  • Fully certified Evaluator in Field Training as per the US Army Staff and Faculty Certification Plan.
