Job Title: Adjunct Faculty, RN to BSN Nursing

We are seeking a qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach nursing courses at Lone Star College. The successful candidate will have a Master's degree or higher in nursing and current licensure to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Texas.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach a variety of Bachelor of Science in Nursing courses at a variety of times and locations
  • Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material
  • Submit required college reports and forms in a timely manner
  • Plan, develop, and use a variety of teaching methods and materials that assist students in meeting course objectives
  • Utilize a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines
  • Meet with and advise students either before or after class or by appointment, electronic communication, or other appropriate methods
  • Evaluate students to measure their progress in achieving course objectives and inform students in a timely manner of their progress
  • Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community
  • Attend meetings, trainings, and orientations as required
Requirements:
  • Mastery of course content
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong leadership skills; Style that emphasizes collaboration, teamwork, and facilitation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to appreciate alternative viewpoints; Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people
