We are seeking a highly skilled Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Engineer to join our team at General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT). As a VDI Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining a large, globally accessed virtual desktop environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement VDI solutions using Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
  • Provide Tier 3/4 support to system administrators to resolve VDI issues
  • Optimize desktops for platform interoperability and act as liaison between VDI technologies
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of virtual desktop infrastructure-related technologies
  • Operate across multiple and complex production environments with multiple stakeholders
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in VDI engineering
  • Experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops v7.15 and later
  • Experience with Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) and Machine Creation Services (MCS)
  • Experience with Citrix Cloud Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD)
  • Experience with Citrix Netscaler / ADC / VPX
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience managing and administering Windows Server clustering
  • Experience with Infrastructure as code technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, etc.
  • System Center Virtual Machine Manager/Vmware Vcenter 6.7
  • Active Directory/ Group Policies
