VDI Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled VDI Engineer to join our team at General Dynamics Information Technology. As a VDI Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining a large, globally accessed virtual desktop environment.

• Design and implement virtual desktop infrastructure solutions
• Configure and maintain Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
• Provide Tier 3/4 support to system administrators for VDI issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in virtual desktop infrastructure

• 5+ years of experience in virtual desktop infrastructure
• Expert-level knowledge of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
• Experience with Windows Server clustering, Active Directory, and Group Policies
• Strong understanding of system design and integration, identity life-cycle management, and process automation and improvement
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• Experience with infrastructure as code technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, etc.
• System Center Virtual Machine Manager/Vmware Vcenter 6.7
• Home Directory and Profile management Support Services
• Desktop Software provisioning and Support Services
