Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (CVICU RN) to join our team at Travel Nurse Source. As a CVICU RN, you will specialize in cardiac care, providing comprehensive care for critically ill patients with a primary cardiac diagnosis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform intense monitoring of patients and care for those requiring Intra-aortic balloon pumps, external temporary pacemakers, and continuous renal replacement therapy.
- Work closely with the Cardiac Catheterization Lab to assist in quick diagnosis and treatment of patients requiring percutaneous coronary intervention for ST elevation myocardial infarction.
- Respond to all cardiac and respiratory arrests in the hospital, assisting with immediate treatment of these critically ill patients.
- Provide emotional support for patients and their families, as well as educate patients and their families on how to manage post-treatment home care needs.
Requirements:
- CVICU - Skills: CVICU Exam, Core Mandatory Part II (Nursing), Preventing Medication Errors, RN Pharmacology, RN State License.
