Job Summary

We are seeking a senior coastal engineer to join our team at Anchor QEA. As a key member of our engineering group, you will be responsible for managing and supporting civil/environmental engineering projects in the coastal environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the engineer supporting development and design for projects including concept designs, alternative studies, construction drawings, technical reports and specifications, and construction cost estimates.
  • Provides technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
  • Manages team and coordinates with client's project manager and/or technical staff.
  • Develops client relationships, leads proposals, and contributes to the sales process.
  • Analyzes complex problems and develops value-engineered solutions.
  • Ensures that work products are prepared in accordance with Anchor QEA's quality management program.
  • Able to travel for field site visits and project meetings in various US locations.

Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in relevant engineering field (coastal, environmental, geotechnical).
  • 15+ years of relevant work experience as a Coastal, Environmental, or Remediation Engineer.
  • Demonstrated experience with MILCON or working on Department of Defense (DoD)-lead planning and design projects programs.
  • Prefers candidates with experience with dredging, dredged material management, and coastal design.
  • Strong understanding of the application of engineering principles to engineering design.
  • Experience in project and program management.
  • A California Professional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain within one year.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills.

  • Competitive salary range: $140,433 - $179,000 per year.
