Physician Assistant or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner

University of Pittsburgh Physicians is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner to join the Urology department at UPMC Shadyside. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through the application of independent judgment, communication, and collaboration with all team members.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with physicians, other healthcare providers, patients, and their families to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of patient care plans, ensuring that they are tailored to meet the individual needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- A graduate of a physician assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) is required.
- Current state PA license certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is required.
- Current CPR certification is required.
- Act 34 Clearance required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification is required.
- BS or MS candidate is preferred.
- Experience as a physician assistant and/or experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
- Professional nursing experience and/or nurse practitioner experience is preferred.
