Job Summary

Covenant Technology Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations regarding the privacy and security of customer information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including state and federal privacy and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Framework Evaluation: Evaluate the level of compliance with applicable federal regulations and contractual requirements.
  • System Security Planning: Conform Covenant Technology Solutions' System Security Plans (SSPs) to meet the requirements of the client's desired security framework.
  • Project Management: Act as Project Manager for each assigned SSP project.
  • Research and Development: Assist in developing new products and services for Covenant Technology Solutions.
  • Knowledge Management: Actively research news and focused publications on the security frameworks and regulations used by Covenant Technology Solutions.
  • Communication: Assist in preparing presentations and exhibits to explain framework controls and socialize security controls into the client's culture.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Assist with other compliance functions, such as user awareness training, tabletop incident simulations, and so on.
Requirements
  • Licensing or Certifications: The Cybersecurity Compliance Specialist will achieve the Registered Practitioner (RP) designation awarded by the Cyber-AB (accreditation Body for the Department of Defense).
  • Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Project Management, or Business Administration is preferable.
  • Skills: Knowledge of the following cybersecurity frameworks: NIST/CMMC Level 2 (DoD), Center for Internet Security – CIS 18, Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS), Health Information Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA), Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), System and Organization Controls (SOC 2), and others.
  • Work Skills: Solid working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft Security Platform tools.
  • Experience: 5-10 years of middle to upper management experience, 3-5 years of cybersecurity compliance or configuration, 3-5 years of technology support, process documentation experience, and project management experience.
