At Sovah Health - Martinsville, we are committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for our employees. As a Registered Nurse (RN) - Employee Health, you will play a critical role in promoting employee health and wellness programs to employees, physicians, volunteers, and students.
Responsibilities:
* Provides and promotes employee health programs to employees, physicians, volunteers, and students
* Supports the workers compensation program and OSHA log for Sovah Health - Martinsville
* Conducts pre-employment and annual health screening tests for all employees
* Documents and maintains accurate and current employee health records
* Keeps abreast of current theory and practice of nursing
* Attends educational seminars and courses related to employee health issues
* Participates on hospital Infection Control Committee and Safety Committee
* Compiles monthly and quarterly reports for quality assurance and corporate requirements
* HR contact for student intern/shadowing program
* Maintains accurate records for Workers Compensation claims
* Makes all follow-up contacts with Carrier representatives, medical caretakers, and employee
Works cooperatively with Hospitals WC carrier representatives and medical caregivers to facilitate and expedite the employees return to work.
Arranges for and monitors all temporary light-duty assignments.
