Job Description

We are seeking a Medical Screener to join our team at BioLife Plasma Services. As a Medical Screener, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our donors. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Exceptional Customer Service

Providing exceptional customer service to our donors, answering phones, and greeting donors in a friendly and professional manner.

Medical History Records

Screening new and repeat donors, taking and recording donor vital signs and finger stick results, and maintaining accurate records.

Continuous Improvement

Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, initiating changes to center processes, and working closely with your management team to implement changes.

Supportive Teamwork

Working in a fast-paced team environment, ensuring a clean and professional work environment, and attending team meetings.

Phlebotomy

Learning how to install, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot state-of-the-art plasmapheresis machines, and ensuring the safety of our donors.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • The ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift
  • The ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • The ability to lift up to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
  • Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and the ability to hear equipment from a distance
Preferred Qualifications

We prefer candidates with experience working in food service, retail, hospital, lab, or a regulated environment, strong customer service skills, and a desire to work in a fast-paced workplace.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive starting hourly wage of $16.00, and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits.
