Job Summary

The Labor and Delivery Nurse is a vital member of our healthcare team, providing exceptional care to expectant mothers and their newborns. As a skilled professional, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and promoting a safe and therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.
  • Utilize therapeutic communication to build strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes and promote a culture of excellence.
  • Assume charge nurse responsibilities, including staff assignments, patient care coordination, and leadership of the healthcare team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Tennessee or a compact state.
  • At least one year of experience in Labor and Delivery or a related field.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within six months.
  • NRP certification within six months.
  • AWHONN basic, intermediate, and advanced certifications within one year.
  • CPI training and certification within six months.
