Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Building Maintenance Technician to join our team at American Heritage Schools - Broward Campus. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our school facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Vacuum and mop all floors daily, strip and wax floors as needed, empty trash and replace liners, and clean windows, blinds, and doors.
  • Bathroom Maintenance: Clean toilets, sinks, and floors with disinfectant cleaners, refill tissue, paper towels, and soap dispensers, and clean mirrors and tile walls as necessary.
  • Dusting and Organization: Remove cobwebs from ceilings, dust hardware and lockers, and keep the janitor's room clean and stocked with supplies.
  • Special Events: Set up and break down special events, provide carpeting and plastic mats, chairs, tables, and build and move portable stages.
  • Shipping and Receiving: Unload and distribute shipment contents to appropriate departments/locations.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school degree or equivalent.
  • Skills and Abilities: Good communication skills, knowledge of cleaning products and when to use them, ability to clean and disinfect surfaces, good organization skills, and excellent time-management skills.
