Security Operations Manager

Position Overview:

The Security Operations Manager will oversee the security protocols and compliance measures for our organization, ensuring adherence to national security standards and regulations. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity and safety of our operational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison for security assessments and communications with relevant government agencies.
  • Collaborate with the Security Team to review and enhance security policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain documentation supporting the assessment and authorization of security systems in line with established frameworks.
  • Conduct security control evaluations as part of an ongoing monitoring strategy.
  • Manage the configuration of security systems and ensure regular audits are conducted to uphold security integrity.
  • Perform comprehensive hardware and software inventory assessments.
  • Identify and address security control deficiencies, serving as the point of contact for remediation efforts.
  • Investigate security incidents, including data breaches and insider threats.
  • Facilitate facility clearance maintenance activities.
  • Review and manage security documentation as required.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree along with three years of relevant experience, or equivalent related experience. A current U.S. Department of Defense Secret security clearance is mandatory, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

Preferred Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of compliance regulations and security frameworks.
  • Experience in evaluating security risks and implementing continuous monitoring practices.
  • Proficiency in managing configuration systems and maintaining documentation.
  • Ability to conduct security self-assessments and system updates.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
