Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and organize client data and supporting documentation necessary for proper tax return preparation
  • Assist in preparing individual and trust tax returns, including estate, gift and trust income tax returns (Forms 706, 709, 1041, etc.)
  • Support the EGT members administratively, including but not limited to monitoring emails, prioritizing tasks, setting up client meetings, etc.
  • Maintain accurate and organized files, ensuring confidentiality and security of sensitive client information
  • Manage multiple engagements with various teams to efficiently meet client deadlines
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and leveraging opportunities for tax savings
  • Advise clients on minimizing tax liabilities through proper estate, gift, and trust planning

Requirements

  • 2+ years of work experience in an administrative support role
  • Experience with tax/accounting software preferred
  • Paralegal training or or Associates degree in accounting or finance preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.) required
  • Tax preparation experience highly preferred
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to maintain multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Strong ability to provide client services and manage multiple engagements, while providing analytical and problem-solving skills
