Safety Supervisor Job Summary

Alamon, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Safety Supervisor to oversee the development and implementation of health and safety policies, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and leading safety programs, with a strong understanding of occupational safety and health principles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive occupational health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain accurate safety logs.
  • Collaborate with management to prepare and implement safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules.
  • Provide technical and administrative support to the safety committee and leadership team.
  • Stop operations and activities that could harm employees or equipment.
  • Identify opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems.
  • Conduct employee training on applicable safety standards and review safety training programs, recommending updates as needed.
  • Monitor staff completion of safety training through the Learning Management System.
  • Conduct safety inspections and audits to assess compliance with safety regulations.

Requirements:
  • In-depth knowledge of company safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to conduct training sessions effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated supervisory and leadership capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent software.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive management experience in safety roles, with a proven track record of developing and leading safety programs.
  • Demonstrated expertise in conducting risk assessments, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a culture of safety in various organizational settings.

Work Environment:

Will be working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and compliance. Must be willing to work outdoors year-round in various weather conditions and on different terrains, including hot, cold, wet, windy, or icy environments.


Travel Requirements:

This position requires occasional travel. Lodging and transportation will be provided while traveling and working for the company.
