Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Night Shift Machining Supervisor to join our team at ATI. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for directing and training hourly employees in the methods and techniques necessary to produce high-quality products on time, in a safe and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Train Employees: Directly supervise hourly employees and the corresponding Production Machine units, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Coordinate Maintenance and Repairs: Coordinate maintenance repairs for planned and unplanned equipment downtime, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
  • Data Collection and Reporting: Collect and compile daily data on piece counts, hours running, set-up, and downtime, providing accurate and timely reports to management.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate daily with Production Control and Tool Engineering to ensure required materials, prints, tooling, and Met. Releases are assembled prior to assignment to machine operators.
  • Quality and Safety: Ensure compliance with ATI's quality requirements through the application of AS9100 systemic procedures and work instructions, promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Employee Development and Engagement: Promote employee involvement in safety problem-solving and cost-reduction efforts, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2+ years' machining experience, with a strong background in supervisory roles.
  • Education: Journeyman Machinist Card or 3+ years technical training, with a focus on machining and production management.
  • Skills: Blueprint reading, CNC program editing, basic analytical skills, and strong communication and troubleshooting abilities.
