CNC Machining Specialist - 2nd Shift

MSK Precision Products, Inc., a premier contract manufacturer in the medical device sector located in South Florida, is seeking a skilled 2nd shift CNC Machining Specialist with experience in Mori Seki machinery.

Our expertise lies in producing high-precision components and assemblies for the medical, telecommunications, and aerospace industries, with a focus on intricate medical and aerospace parts.

With our dedicated packaging and assembly department, MSK is equipped to deliver both individual components and complete assemblies to our clientele.

We hold several prestigious certifications, including AS9100D, ISO 13485, and ISO 9001.

Position Summary: Responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining one or more CNC-controlled turning or machining centers according to verbal or written instructions, engineering drawings, or sketch sheets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all necessary setup and operational documentation, such as process sheets and inspection checklists, are available.
  • Confirm appropriate tooling, speeds, feeds, and processes to meet production and quality standards.
  • Modify or implement CNC programs for the production of specific components.
  • Enhance existing programs, tooling, or processes to meet or exceed production and quality expectations.
  • Conduct first piece verification, complete in-process checklists, and maintain all dimensions within specified tolerances.
  • Train and assist less experienced operators on specific job tasks, including documentation, and verify cycle efficiency and accuracy of produced parts.
  • Adjust setup, tool wear offsets, or CNC programs as necessary, and inform operators of any changes to processes or quality requirements.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment according to approved schedules.
  • Document and report any modifications made to machine setups or programs.
  • Complete setup verification checklists, output records, and other documentation as required by management.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Carry out other production-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with machining tight-tolerance products.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints.
  • Proficient in using inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, vision systems, etc.).
  • Understanding of common CNC programming.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and exceptional problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience in an ISO-certified environment is advantageous.
  • Proficient in reading and writing English.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
  • A collaborative team player focused on shared company and team goals.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 4:20 PM to 1:50 AM. Overtime is not guaranteed.
