Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Yale-New Haven Health. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our healthcare team to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.

    • Assessment: Collect and analyze data to determine the actual and potential diagnoses or issues.
    • Diagnosis: Analyze assessment data to determine the actual and potential diagnoses or issues.
    • Outcomes Identification: Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the healthcare consumer or situation.
    • Planning: Develop and modify a plan of care that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes.
    • Implementation: Implement the identified plan.
    • Coordination of Care: Coordinate care delivery and transitions in care.
    • Health Teaching and Health Promotion: Employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
    • Evaluation: Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.
  • Standards of Professional Performance
    • Ethics: Practice ethically.
    • Culturally Congruent Practice: Practice in a manner that is congruent with cultural diversity and inclusion principles.
    • Communication: Communicate effectively in all areas of practice.

Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Current BCLS certification or must obtain within one month of hire.
  • Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut.
  • Clinical specialty certification highly encouraged.
Working Conditions

This position requires prolonged standing, walking, use of sight, hearing, and touch. May be exposed to infectious diseases. Will be exposed to physical, mental, and emotional illness as well as end of life conditions and death. Moderate stress and risk of injury from patient care.
