The Office 365 System Engineer will play a pivotal role in enhancing the communication and operational efficiency of the Michigan Farm Bureau through the effective management of Office 365 tools.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and maintain the Office 365 environment, including key services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive for Business.
- Conduct regular evaluations and optimizations to ensure the platform's reliability and security.
- Implement document retention policies in alignment with organizational standards.
- Monitor system performance and address issues promptly to guarantee uninterrupted service.
- Provide advanced support for Office 365-related incidents and queries.
- Facilitate training sessions and develop user documentation to enhance the effective use of Office 365 tools.
- Establish and enforce security protocols to safeguard the Office 365 ecosystem.
- Ensure adherence to compliance regulations and organizational policies.
- Perform security assessments and audits to proactively identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Manage migration processes to Office 365 from various platforms.
- Integrate Office 365 with other enterprise systems as required.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in managing and supporting Microsoft Office 365 environments.
- In-depth knowledge of Office 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for administrative and automation tasks.
- Familiarity with networking concepts, security principles, and compliance requirements related to Office 365.
Preferred:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or equivalent.
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate or equivalent.
- Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate or equivalent.
- Security certification, such as Security+, is advantageous.
- Experience with hybrid Office 365/on-premises environments.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and Azure Conditional Access.
- Understanding of ITIL practices and methodologies.
- Experience with third-party Office 365 tools and add-ons.
Note: This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining remote work with on-site responsibilities.
