About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Massage Therapist to join our Integrative Medicine Center team at Gundersen Health System. As a Massage Therapist, you will work closely with patients to provide individualized care and relaxation through safe and effective massage techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough health histories and update client information prior to each session.
- Explain procedures and apply techniques tailored to client needs and preferences.
- Manipulate muscles and soft tissues to promote relaxation and therapeutic benefits.
- Monitor client reactions and solicit feedback to adjust massage techniques accordingly.
- Collaborate with Integrative Medicine providers to ensure comprehensive care.
- Provide education on stretching, strengthening, and relaxation techniques to promote overall well-being.
- Document client progress and maintain accurate electronic medical records.
- Develop and implement massage orientation services, education seminars, and marketing strategies to promote massage services.
Requirements:
- Post-high school education in a specialized field, such as an Accredited Massage Therapy Program.
- 2 years of experience as a licensed or certified massage therapist.
- Desirable: 1 year of experience in a healthcare delivery system.
- Wisconsin Massage Therapist and Bodywork Therapist License (MTBT-WI).
- Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Work Environment:
This role is based in a healthcare setting with a focus on integrative medicine. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have excellent communication skills.
